Our Mission

We met as mental health counselors and bonded over our love for the outdoors. What started as conversation soon became a vision: blending evidence-based mental health support with the healing power of nature. That space where inner work meets the natural world — is where Soul to Summit was born. We lead experiences in nature to help you reconnect with your inner strength, build meaningful relationships with the natural world, and feel supported as you move toward your own summit—both on the trail and within.

Rhiannon Kunesh, LCSW

Rhiannon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who brings a deep respect for the healing power of nature into her work. Originally from rural Minnesota and surrounded by forests, rivers, and lakes, she developed an early and lasting connection to the outdoors that continues to shape her therapeutic approach today.

Rhiannon integrates evidence-informed mental health practices, social justice values, and nature-supported experiences to help individuals cultivate resilience, clarity, and confidence.

With experience guiding rock climbing, paddling, camping, and mountain biking excursions, Rhiannon feels most at home on extended trips in the Boundary Waters—or closer to home on the Yahara River in Madison. Through Soul to Summit, she strives to create supportive, inclusive spaces where individuals can reconnect with themselves, the land, and what matters most.
