Half Day Hike for Educators

Before the school year begins, join fellow helping professionals for a restorative experience designed to support your well-being and help you start the year feeling grounded, connected, and refreshed.

Devilโ€™s Lake Half-Day Hiking

  • Duration: August 15th 10:30am-3:30pm at Devilโ€™s Lake State Park

  • What to expect:

    • Guided reflection, journaling, and interactive group practices led by licensed mental health providers

    • Explore strategies for managing stress, preventing burnout, identifying your โ€œwhyโ€, and fostering meaningful connections with others, nature, and within

  • What to bring

    • Comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes for hiking, swim suit, towel, and water shoes/sandals for a dip in the lake, water bottle, backpack for the trail, hat/sunglasses

      • Optional: additional snacks you may want!

      • A Wisconsin State Park pass is required for vehicles - we are able to provide up to 2 free day passes. If youโ€™re able to coordinate carpooling or meeting beforehand weโ€™ll happily provide these passes for 2 vehicles.

  • Included In Cost:

    • Guided facilitation by mental health professionals

    • Wellness kits for each participant (including journal, pencil, and more!)

    • Snacks (protein bars, fruit, trail mix)  and electrolytes

    • Sunscreen and bug spray

  • What youโ€™ll leave with

    • A clearer, calmer sense of purpose and restored mental clarity

    • Practical tools for grounding and mindfulness to use when feeling stressed or overwhelmed

    • Strengthened connection to nature and to a supportive women+ community

    • Memories (and perhaps picture evidence) of hiking around Devilโ€™s Lake

Difficulty: Moderate to Strenuous
Time: 5 hours
Effort: High exertion for hiking the East and West Bluffs, otherwise steady movement throughout the hike

Whether you're looking to recharge, reconnect with your purpose, or simply take time for yourself before the busy school year, this experience welcomes helping professionals of all backgroundsโ€”no prior wellness or outdoor experience is required.
